KEINHAUS is a two story house in Hamtramck (Detroit)MI which hosts an event- and exhibition space as well as guest artist studio.   KEINHAUS focuses on Music / experimental art forms/ New Media art

KEINHAUS host events (exhibitions/dinners/music/performance/events) on a monthly basis. The residency program at KEINHAUS is intended to allow artists to explore, reflect, create, and interact. Currently it focuses on bringing passionate, engaged artists to Hamtamck/Detroit for a work and exhibition period of minimum 1 month. It is primarily focused on artists who are based outside of the US. This is to offer both the artists and the neighbourhood the benefit of a constant influx of new ideas.

KEINHAUS is founded by Detroit artist/musician Tess Walkowski. She is originally from Detroit but has lived in Germany and Amsterdam where she graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Audio Visual/ New Media arts. She is currently working as a sculptor, performance artist, and Chef.
